Ron Turak works with students to help them discover their career dreams and develop academic plans to reach their career goals. His caring counseling and advising style encourages students to be open to their full potential and the many career opportunities available to them. Ron encourages students to be the creator of a future filled with a sense of purpose and passion.
Ron has 45 years of experience working as a career, academic and personal counselor in college settings. During this time, he assisted high school students and college students of various ages with designing, planning and reaching their personal, career and academic goals. He has also worked as Technical Clinical and Market Analyst with a major U.S. Pharmaceutical company.
Ron is a National Board-Certified Counselor and PA licensed Professional Counselor. Also, he is a recipient of the State University of New York President’s Award for Excellence in Professional Service. His education includes a Masters of Arts in Counselor Education/Student Personnel from Indiana University of PA and a Masters of Business Administration from Philadelphia University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an Associates degree in Computer Science.
Outside of work, Ron enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing pickleball, hiking, skiing, walking his dog, Jayke and community activities
